Whether you're a first year or a continuing student, we're happy that you've chosen to become a part of the UW-Madison SLIS Community. As mentioned during orientation, we (faculty, staff, alumni & campus partners) are here to support you in being successful as a graduate student in the MA program. We encourage you to take advantage of your time here. Participate in class, ask questions, meet with your advisor, ask more questions. Join one (or several) of the student organizations and community engagement projects. In these groups you will find a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose that will enhance your learning outside of the classroom, whether that classroom is on campus or online.
Keep up-to-date by reading the UW-SLIS Daily Digest, and following SLIS on Facebook and Twitter - use the icons on the left.
Have a question? Please ask your advisor, or your instructor, or the Student & Alumni Services Coordinator.
Ultimately, your success in the SLIS MA program is up to you. Fortunately, there are many resources in SLIS, on campus, and in the larger Madison community to support you. See the Related Links menu at the right for these resources.
