As space permits, UW-Madison online graduate courses may be taken for professional development purposes, or by those considering the UW-Madison online master's degree program. To enroll in these courses, you must register as a Special Student - see below.

You must first be admitted to UW-Madison as a University Special Student. Printable application forms AND/OR online registration are available at: http://www.dcs.wisc.edu/students/univspec.htm

Tuition for University Specials is posted at http://registrar.wisc.edu/students/fees_tuition/tuition.php. Choose the appropriate Term/Semester and Student Career: Undergraduate & Specials. University Special Students in online courses pay Undergraduate Resident tuition, minus the segregated fees.

University Special Students may begin to register the Thursday before classes begin; for Spring 2010 courses, this is January 14th.
