Topics covered:

  • Concepts such as social networking, tagging, media sharing, and connecting with people wherever they are
  • Practical tools you can use, such as blogs, RSS newsfeeds, podcasts, Delicious, Flickr, wikis, YouTube, instant messaging, MySpace, LibraryThing, Twitter, and more
  • Understanding how implementing Web 2.0 tools could increase your library's presence in the community, reach out to your customers, and improve connections to the people you serve

Expectations:

Successful completion requires participation in the course, and participation in four discussion forums with other students and the instructor. There are no exams.
