SLIS Alumni Association - Events[Fall] [Winter] [Spring] [Summer]
Fall
New Student Orientation An orientation session is held in August or September. The Association has a representative present to encourage students to join and participate in Association activities. This event usually occurs in late October. SLIS has a table in the exhibit area and the Alumni Association sponsors a reunion at the conference. 2008 WLA Conference
Winter
On Fat Tuesday, (Shrove Tuesday) which falls early in the spring semester, faculty and staff members flip pancakes for students. The Association funds the supplies for this scrumptious feast.
Spring
The Association makes a presence and serves refreshments during the SLIS graduation at the State Historical Society.
Summer
The SLIS Alumni Association hosts a reunion at the summer ALA conference. Join us!
